Ryan Guardino signs with Wofford College

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Ryan Guardino has been able to hit at every level and now he is headed to NCAA Division 1 baseball.

The Santa Barbara City College sophomore commits to Wofford College in South Carolina.

The Terriers compete in the Southern Conference and they were 14-3 this year when the season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Guardino, a 2017 San Marcos High School graduate, had an 18-game hitting streak for SBCC when the season came to a sudden end.

In fact Guardino got at least one hit in every game that he played as he missed the first two games of the season.

The outfielder led SBCC with a .415 batting average this year and homered and doubled in his final game for the Vaqueros.

Back in 2017 Guardino led the San Marcos Royals to an 18-9 record.
