Voters Coming in Strong With Ballot Turn-In for the General Election

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Many voters who have yet to cast a ballot are getting busy, with a week to go before the General Election.

The election turnout has increased significantly with about 50,000 ballots now in the hands of the Santa Barbara County Elections Division.

The response has been described as strong by elections officials. The ballots represent about 20% of registered voters.

Election officials say if you can, do not wait until election day to make sure your ballot is in the first group of results to be released on election night.

At the seven-day mark, tomorrow voters are asked to use one of the 18 drop boxes from there on out.

For those using the U.S. Post Office, ballots coming in tomorrow (Tuesday Oct. 27) are viewed as the last day recommended for voting in this election.
