San Marcos flag football starts off season with shutout win over Lompoc

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - San Marcos High School star quarterback Victoria Aldana looked in mid-season form as she threw four touchdown passes in a 33-0 season-opening home win over Lompoc.

The junior Aldana connected twice for scores with freshman Bella Bazylewicz who also intercepted a pass in her varsity debut.

Royals sophomore Piper Kittle caught a touchdown on 4th and goal on the 20 in the second quarter and she also had an interception. As a team San Marcos picked off four Braves passes.

San Marcos led 20-0 at the half after Kalina Estrada scored on a double-reverse late in the second quarter.

The Royals host Palos Verdes on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
