Firefighters On the Scene of 20-Acre Vegetation Fire South of Los Alamos

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire teams are responding to a 20-acre vegetation fire near the Los Alamos Cemetery on Drum Canyon Road Wednesday.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, crews have arrived at the scene and are working to contain the spread of flames from both the ground and in the air.

Drum Canyon Road has been closed to traffic added the emergency response agency.

Since initially reaching out about the fire late Wednesday afternoon, a smoke plume has grown in the area showed the ALERTCalifornia camera system and shown in the image below.

This is an emergency fire response and more information will be added to this article when it is received.
