Semi truck carrying 150 barrels of crude oil crashes in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – First responders are on scene for a vehicle crash involving a semi truck and another car at Telephone Rd. and E Clark Ave. in Santa Maria.

The truck was carrying 150 barrels of crude oil and heavy traffic remains in the area. Authorities recommend using alternate routes to avoid the crash site, detailed the SBCFD.

Four people were injured, two with minor/moderate injuries and two with serious injuries transported via helicopter to both Marion and Cottage Hospitals respectively, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
