SpaceX announces Falcon 9 launch plans for Thursday evening
VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. – SpaceX has announced a launch window from Vandenberg Space Force Base for Thursday, Feb. 22 starting at 8:11 p.m. with backup windows until 11:44 p.m.
The announced mission is a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites destined for low-Earth orbit, the 19th mission for this particular booster, state SpaceX.
A live webcast of the mission will begin on SpaceX's X (formerly known as Twitter) account about five minutes before launch with additional backup launch windows announced for Friday, Feb. 23 starting at 7:50 p.m. detail SpaceX.
Previous missions this Falcon 9 launched are: Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Globalstar FM15, ISI EROS C-3, and eight previous Starlink missions.
SpaceX details that following first stage separation, the Falcon 9 will return to land on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship awaiting in the Pacific Ocean.
