Long-Term lane reduction on Highway 101 for Nojoqui Creek Bridge widening project to begin Monday, June 26

BUELLTON, Calif. – Caltrans District 5 will begin a project to widen the Nojoqui Creek Bridge will require the closure of the right lanes in both directions of Highway 101 beginning Monday, Jun. 26.

Both right lanes will be closed from south of the Nojoqui Creek Bridge to south of the Santa Rosa Road Overcrossing from Monday Jan. 26 until January of 2024.

The project will widen the bridge by ten feet and replace the bridge railing resulting in new shoulders for both directions of Highway 101.

There will be a five foot shoulder available for cyclists during construction.

The $5.4 million project was contracted to Souza Construction of San Luis Obispo and the entire project is expected to be completed by the winter of 2024 detail Caltrans District 5.
