Tracking Extreme Heat Wednesday

Wednesday morning will be warm for many areas. Clear skies prevail for most with some fog in northern communities. Quick clearing is expected and temperatrues rise well above average once again. Look for upper 80s, 90s and triple digits. All Heat Alerts are still in effect through Thursday night. A Beach Hazard Statement is still in effect for Ventura beaches through Thursday night as well.

Our last official day of the heatwave is Thursday. Many areas rise similar to days prior and minimal day to day changes are on board. The Beach Hazard Statement will be allowed to expire by the evening along with the Heat Alerts.

We finally get needed heat relief by Friday. A big weather pattern shift is expected by the weekend. A system to the north will drop down bringing temperatures back into the 70s with more marine layer and onshore flow. A chance of rain appears in the forecast for the Sunday and Monday timeframe but there are still many unknowns. Check in at the end of the week for the latest data.
