Lompoc Police Department

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – The Lompoc Police Department is asking the community to help find Alberto Rafael Cabrera Corona, 14, a "Missing Runaway Juvenile."

Police said Cabrera Corona is 5'8" and 120lbs with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, white long sleeve shirt, gray zip up jacket, black pants and black Nike Air Force 1 shoes.

The teen's parents first reported him missing on Jan. 27, 2023 after he left his home the night before and did not return, according to police.

Around 2 a.m. on Jan. 27, the department said it received a tip that Cabrera Corona drove a vehicle which got stuck in mud west of Lompoc city limits.

Police said the 14-year-old then fled on foot and was last seen near the intersection of W Central Ave and Legge Ave.

The department received information on Thursday that Cabrera Corona was with two known people in the early morning hours on Jan. 28, and that the three of them were in the vehicle when it got stuck.

While they were walking back to the city, the department said the three has a disagreement on which way to go, so Cabrera Corona walked northbound, and the other two walked eastbound and made it back into town.

Since then, Cabrera Corona has not returned, according to police.

On Feb. 1, the Lompoc Police Detective Bureau and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s helicopter flew over where the missing teen was last seen, but he was not located.

On Feb. 2, the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue team, three search dogs, and their helicopter thoroughly searched the area where Cabrera Corona was last seen, according to police.

However, they did not locate Cabrera Corona, nor any crime scene and there are no signs of foul play located.

This search is ongoing, and the department asks that if you have any information on the teen's whereabouts, please contact the Lompoc Police Department at 805 736-2341.
