CAMBRIA, Calif.-

Cambria Christmas Market is opening for its 8th year. The market has miles of Christmas lights and celebrates German Christmas traditions.

It took over 2 million lights to create the sparkling village.

“I mean you feel like you are in a dream! You come in and this is like the whole dream of Christmas,” said Cambria Christmas Market patron Jessica Clegg.

The lights span for 3 miles, winding it's way to Santa Clause and a magical gingerbread village.

“It's wonderful, my girls love it, especially the tunnels of lights! They love running through them,” said Cambria Christmas Market patron Maggie Warner.

The German Style market served traditional German gifts, foods and drinks.

“I feel like it's really magical. I have not seen anything quite like this light show,” said Chelsea Cook who came from out of town to visit the market.

Christmas carolers sang holiday favorites, while locals sold gifts and nicknacks.

“It's amazing. It's everything, I mean just to get my name out here. Just to let everyone know hey I am a local candle maker here,” said JoJo's Candle Company vendor Jolene Tench.

“These are handcrafted nutcrackers from Germany,” said vendor employee Kayla Lake.

The market is based on traditional European Christmas markets that date back to the late middle ages.

“It's what you see in the movies and you finally get to walk into it and touch it and feel it and I get to bring my kids,” said Cambria Christmas Market patron Jessica Clegg.

The market is open from 5pm to 9pm until December 23rd.
All parking is off sight but they do provide shuttles.
Tickets are 10$ - $25 dollars.
