Santa Barbara Police recommend criminal charges against woman who sparked protests

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara Police detectives have recommended criminal charges against the woman in the viral video that sparked community protests on Sunday night in Santa Barbara.

Detectives are recommending the following charges against Jeanne Terese Umana to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office: Trespassing, Battery on a Person, and a Hate Crime.
