CARPINTERIA, Calif. (KEYT) The recent El Niño related high tides are a reminder of what's to come this winter.

That is the focus of the Carpinteria Community Spotlight: El Niño Disaster Preparation forum tonight at The Alcazar Theatre on Carpinteria Ave. from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The free event will include a discussion with local exerts and leaders from community agencies likely to respond to El Niño related emergencies.
