Santa Barbara County Fire performs five-day hazard reduction burn off San Marcos Pass highway

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif.– Santa Barbara County Fire Department is conducting a five-day complete burn of Hazard Reduction Burn Piles in the area of the Painted Cave Fuel break.

SBC Fire uses controlled burns to decrease the chances of wildfires and increase community safety.

The burn may be visible along Highway 154 with smoke in the San Marcos Pass highway area near Paradise Road.
