Cal Poly’s Rose Parade float awarded Extraordinaire Award

PASADENA, Calif. – California Polytechnic State University's Rose Parade float "Road to Reclamation" won the Extraordinaire Award for the most extraordinary float entry at the Jan. 2 Pasadena parade.

Of the 74 Rose Parade appearances for Cal Poly since 1949, the school's float has won an award 62 times.

We covered the forest floor-themed float with its moving snails in December.

The float used four operators as it made its way down the parade route and captured imaginations.
