Three Fillmore Men Arrested for Drug-Related Offenses After Thursday Morning Traffic Stop

FILLMORE, Calif. (KEYT) – Three Fillmore men were arrested for drug-related offenses after a traffic stop Thursday morning.

On July 9, around 10 a.m., a patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop on a sedan near the intersection of Trestle Way and Orchid Street in Fillmore stated a press release Monday from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Inside of the sedan, a 32-year-old Fillmore man was driving and two other men were riding as passengers, a 32-year-old and a 20-year-old, shared the local sheriff's office.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, the two older men are known to local law enforcement as active members of a criminal street gang.

Deputies at the scene determined that all three men were under the influence of a controlled substance and the trio were arrested for violating Health and Safety Code 11550(a) shared the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of about two ounces of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia and ammunition noted the local law enforcement agency.

The driver of the vehicle is a convicted felon and was also arrested for transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a felon in possession of ammunition explained the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
