College wrap: UCSB soccer falls to Oregon State

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) -

NCAA Men's Soccer: Oregon State 3, UCSB 1: Peleg Brown scored in the 25th minute for the Gauchos to tie the game at 1 but the Beavers regained the lead for good on a Tim Hoffman goal in the 32nd minute. Michael Nesci extended the lead in the 54th minute for Oregon State.

UCSB is 4-2-2 on the year. Close to 4,000 fans were at the game as the students returned to campus for the fall quarter.

NCAA Women's Volleyball: USC 3, UCSB 0: The Gauchos fell to the Trojans (11-25, 27-29, 23-25) in LA. Auburn Tomkinson had 11 kills for UCSB who dropped to 4-7 on the season.

NCAA Men's Water Polo: #11 Pepperdine 15, #14 UCSB 10: Luigi Canepa, Tyler Roller and Charlie Johnson each scored two goals for the Gauchos on the final day of the MPSF Invitational at Stanford.
