Notably cooler temperatures greeted the inland areas on Friday with daytime highs in the mid to upper 70s. While coastal areas observed slightly cooler conditions in the 60s to low 70s. Favoring an onshore flow the Central and South Coast could expect partly to mostly cloudy skies through Saturday. Along with a chance of showers from Friday night to Saturday morning.
Due to strong onshore gradients this has prompted strong winds to many inland areas Friday afternoon and evening. A Wind Advisory is in effect for San Luis Obispo interior valleys until Friday at 9 PM. Southwest winds will range 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
The storm is expected to be weak with the best chance of rainfall expected for areas north of Point Conception including San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County. The system will generally bring about 0.15 inch or less, with foothills in northern San Luis Obispo County looking at 0.25 to .50 inch.
Temperatures will begin to warm to average on Sunday with daytime highs along the coast in the mid to upper 70s, inland areas in the upper 70s to low 80s. The marine layer will also continue to persists from night to morning bringing low coastal clouds and patchy fog through next week.
