Yona Redz in Santa Barbara receives $5K grant from California Restaurant Foundation

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – Seven Central Coast restaurants received $5,000 in grants.

The grants are funded, in part, by a one million dollar donation from SoCalGas.

The money can be used for equipment and technology upgrades, unforeseen hardship, or employee retention bonuses and employee training. 

Some of the restaurant recipients include: Revolver, Yoichi's and Yona Redz.

"Yes, I honestly put on there that I would need it a new dishwasher so I’m gonna be looking into that so hopefully I can get one in the in the near future right now," said owner Yona Estrada of Yona Redz in Santa Barbara.

The California restaurant foundation said California is home to more than 90,000 eating and drinking places.
