Extreme Heat Warning issued October 2 at 10:38AM PDT until October 8 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 85 at the
coast and 100 in the mountains and Cuyama valley.

* WHERE…Cuyama Valley, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains,
Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, Santa Barbara County
Southwestern Coast, Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands, Santa Ynez
Mountains Eastern Range, and Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range.

* WHEN…Until 8 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Very hot temperatures are likely to continue
into the second week of October, possibly requiring an extension of
this product.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
