Temperatures will temporarily warm Tuesday

There will be northerly winds tonight on the Southwest Coast, in the Santa Ynez Range, and interior mountains of Santa Barbara County. A wind advisory is in effect until 1:00 am Tuesday. Gusts will be up to 45 mph.

After a mild Monday, a little ridge of high pressure will move over California Tuesday, and weak offshore flow will develop. Clouds will become a little more limited and temperatures will warm a few degrees.

Low temperatures Tuesday will be in the mid 40s to low 50s. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s on the coast, and in the mid 70s to low 80s inland.

A weak trough will displace the ridge Tuesday night and Wednesday. Just as quickly as we flipped to offshore flow, we will be back to onshore flow. Drizzle is possible with an extensive midweek marine layer.

Temperatures will cool a few degrees Wednesday. A cold upper low will start moving out of British Columbia, Canada on Thursday. Conditions will change little from Thursday through the weekend, with temperatures at 6 to 12 degrees below normal.

By Sunday, SoCal will be at the base of a trough and there will be periods of strong winds over the weekend.
