UCSB soccer prepares for Sweet 16 game at Indiana
UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Gauchos are facing several challenges before they even play Indiana in a third round game of the NCAA Tournament.
Traveling over Thanksgiving weekend is always tough and UCSB spent a great deal of time just securing their flights out of Los Angeles to Indiana.
UCSB is also not crazy about the noon start time in Indiana on Sunday which makes it 9am on the west coast.
But the Gauchos do think they match up well with the Hoosiers who have won eight National Championships including in 2004 when they beat UCSB on penalty kicks.
UCSB beat Cal at home to open up the playoffs this year and then upset #12 Saint Mary's on the road.
The Gauchos have lost just one road game all season while Indiana is 10-0-2 at home this year so Sunday should be quite a game.
