Shelter-in-place order canceled after Lompoc police respond to domestic violence incident

Lompoc police issued a shelter in place order due to a domestic violence incident.

LOMPOC, Calif. - A shelter-in-place order was issued in Lompoc as police responded to a domestic violence incident Wednesday.

It happened on the 200 block of N. C Street just after 3:30 p.m.

Lompoc police say they are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon as part of the domestic violence report.

The suspect in this incident was considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Residents in the area were advised to stay in their homes.

Lompoc police and a SWAT team responded to the scene.

At around 5:45 p.m., Lompoc police canceled the shelter-in-place order.

Information regarding any arrests was not immediately made available.
