Monday evening forecast – Nov. 4th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - We had a quiet beginning to the first week of November with a clear and chilly morning for the California Central Coast, and foggy morning for the South Coast. More areas of fog are possible early Tuesday in our coastal areas, but it won't move too far inland. Overnight lows will range from the chilly lower and mid 40s to the cool upper 40s and lower 50s.

A small area of low pressure is located over southern California, but it won't provide any chance for any rain for our area. A larger ridge of high pressure will push that low away by late Wednesday and early Thursday, and we'll have a lot more sunshine and warmth from Friday through Monday with temperatures rising well above average for all locations.

Overnight lows will be seasonably cool through next Friday, but will also gradually warm as the weekend approaches, ranging from the 30s and 40s inland to the 40s and 50s along the coast. Daytime highs will be at or above average, with the weekend being the warmest. Coasts: mid 60s rising to the mid 70s. Valleys: lower 70s rising to the lower and mid 80s.
