Prep results for girls volleyball and boys water polo

Girls Volleyball: Dos Pueblos 3, Channel Islands 0: The Chargers moved to 5-0 in the Pacific View League with the 25-10, 25-4, 25-8 sweep. “The girls played hard, but they also had fun today,” Coach Emily Curry said. “We had some girls playing new positions and others trying a topspin serve in a game for the first time. I love seeing them build that confidence and continue adding new pieces to their game.”

Ventura 3, Santa Barbara 2: Dons comeback falls just short in 5-set loss 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-14, 14-16. Both teams are tied for first place in the Channel League at 4-1. Blake Saunders and Lola Heckman each had 11 kills while Jules Horton had 30 assists and 17 digs.

Oxnard 3, San Marcos 1: Harper Dees had 13 kills in the Royals 4-set loss 23-25, 25-20, 12-25, 24-26.

Foothill Tech 3, Bishop Diego 2: The Dragons pulled off the reverse sweep against Bishop Diego 17-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-5. Foothill Tech leads the Tri-Valley League at 8-2 while the Cardinals are 6-3. Karina Urzua led Bishop Diego with 17 kills.

Laguna Blanca 3, Cate 0: The Owls got 12 kills from Maritt Blabey in the sweep 25-13, 25-18, 25-16. Laguna Blanca is currently second in the Tri-Valley League at 7-3.

Carpinteria 3, Fillmore 0: The Warriors are 4-1 in the Citrus Coast League winning 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

Boys Water Polo: Buena 15, San Marcos 10: Brandon Lee had 4 goals in the Royals loss.
