Tracking a strong wind event Monday

Happy Monday! Expect a few clouds in the skies and temperatures into the 70s and 80s for most. Hurricane Polo will add an interesting addition of humidity into the forecast along with showers to the south of the Central Coast, pop up evening showers cannot be ruled out. This will increase cloud coverage for those in Ventura and LA. We may see some additional pretty clouds on Santa Barbara as well. Low pressure hovering over the Central Coast adds to a tricky forecast. A rather large wind event will take place late this evening as high level winds will drop down to the surface. A Wind Advisory goes into effect at 6pm for some mountainous areas and the Gaviota Corridor. A Coastal Flood Advisory an High Surf Advisory remain through Wednesday as Polo moves closer to the Baja and brings waves and rip currents to Southern California.

We begin Tuesday morning with a few marine clouds and pleasant temperatures before a quick warming trend takes place. Tuesday will be warmer as a large ridge of high pressure builds into the area. Expect upper 70s and 80s for most. Winds die off and offshore flow returns. Avoid the beaches as marine impacts hold.

Wednesday will be our peak heating afternoon as many places rise into the mid 80s. Expect some fog before a rapid clearing trend. We hold above average into the weekend.
