Coastal Quilters host Harvest of Colors

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) The Harvest of Colors Quilt Show drew a crowd of people who appreciate the work that goes into quilts.

The Coastal Quilters Guild of Santa Barbara and Goleta put on the show.

Visitors had a chance to see more than 200 quilts and quilted items at the Earl Warren Showgrounds over the weekend.

Many of them won awards.

"There is so much, so many people with so much skill and really different stuff modern stuff traditional stuff, wearables, landscapes, everything," said Harvest of Colors chair Bee Saunders.

Saunders also teaches a quilting elective at Santa Barbara Middle School.

A special exhibit showcased some of her student's work.

People are welcome to donate material that can be used by the next generation learning to make quilts.
