UCSB wrap-up: Women’s Volleyball loses in 4, women’s soccer ties North Dakota

Women's Volleyball: Iowa State 3, UCSB 1: Gauchos suffered their first loss on the year as they drop their home opener 25-18, 24-26, 20-25, 21-25. This was also the first game of the Gauchos Invitational. UCSB (3-1) faces Utah State on Saturday 6 p.m.

Women's Soccer: UCSB 2, North Dakota 2: Delliah Vega Aguliar scored the lone goal in the first half but the Fighting Hawks scored two early second half goals to grab a 2-1 lead. But UCSB got the equalizer in the 64th minute on a goal by Chayse Yu. The Gauchos are 3-1-2 on the year. They host North Dakota State on Sunday at noon.

Men's Water Polo: #13 UCSB 17, Biola 9: Luigi Canepa and Finn Geng each scored three goals for the Gauchos.

#9 Pepperdine 13, #13 UCSB 9: Luigi Canepa scored 5 more goals in the loss. The Gauchos are 5-3 on the year.
