Lompoc Man Dies After Crash With Truck Tractor on State Route 1 Tuesday Afternoon

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – A 32-year-old Lompoc man had died after a collision with a truck tractor on State Route 1 Tuesday afternoon.

On Aug. 25, around 2:01 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a crash on State Route 1, south of Jalama Road, stated a press release Wednesday from the California Highway Patrol-Buellton Area (CHP).

Responding officers found a white Honda Pilot had crashing into a truck tractor hauling a trailer and that the driver, identified Wednesday as a 32-year-old Lompoc man, had sustained fatal injuries shared the CHP.

The driver of the truck tractor declined medical attention at the scene added the law enforcement agency.

The investigation into this fatal incident is ongoing and anyone with more information is asked to contact the Buellton Area CHP office at 805-691-6160 during regular business hours or the San Luis Obispo Communications Center at 805-593-3333 for after calls outside of regular business hours.
