Parkinson enters 3rd season with the Rams after record-setting 2025

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KEYT) - Colby Parkinson was quite a catch in 2025 for the Los Angeles Rams.

His eight touchdown receptions were not only a career high for the 27-year old but it set a Rams single-season franchise record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end.

Parkinson gave most of the credit to playing with MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford. "Matthew is a amazing," said Parkinson speaking at Rams training camp from Loyola Marymount University. "His understanding of football just elevates everyone around him, I know I am a better player for just being around him."

Parkinson also set new career marks for receptions (43) and yards (408) in 2025. He is already feeling in rhythm with Stafford in training camp.

"Feels like we picked up where we left off but obviously a lot of work to do in camp to make sure we are where we want when the season starts but it feels good to be back with such a cohesive group from last year," smiled Parkinson.

The 2017 graduate of Oaks Christian High School is enjoying his time back in Southern California after spending his first four seasons in Seattle. Last spring he hosted his first youth football camp at Oaks Christian.

"It was amazing, we had a great turnout, 150 kids came out, it was so fun to be able to give back to the community that has given me so much" beamed Parkinson.

The Rams have a tremendous tight end room with Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen, Terrance Ferguson and rookie Max Klare.

"We have such a good group of guys, obviously adding Max with the four returning guys from last year it's a ton of fun and very thankful to be part of that group," said Parkinson.

The Rams are winding down their portion of training camp at LMU this week and will return to their facility in Woodland Hills for the rest of the preseason.
