First responders successfully extinguished structure fires at Lompoc home Friday afternoon

LOMPOC, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews responded to structure fires at and around a home in the 500 block of G Street Friday afternoon.

According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department, first responders were dispatched to the incident at 2:09 p.m. and no injuries were reported from the scene.

Firefighters with the City of Lompoc and Santa Barbara County Fire Department arrived to find the single-story, single-family residence showing smoke and initiated an aggressive attack plan after confirming all of the home's residents had safely exited detailed the City of Lompoc in a press release.

The flames had reached several nearby trailers before being fully knocked down at 2:22 p.m. and crews remained on the scene for overhaul and an investigation shared the City of Lompoc.

In addition to the fire crews, Lompoc Police officers, AMR, and the Red Cross assisted in the response shared the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation noted the City of Lompoc.
