Small plane makes emergency landing on Highway 246 in Lompoc

LOMPOC, Calif.– A small plane made an emergency landing on Highway 246 and Vineyard View Lane at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday, according to the responding Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The plane was able to safely land in an undesignated area after getting into quick contact with nearby emergency officials. There were no injuries upon landing.

The plane has been moved off the roadway, so traffic has not been impacted by the incident.

It is unclear what caused the emergency landing as the incident remains under investigation.
