KEYT

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - It will be hot and sunny Wednesday though our cooling trend will begin for southern coasts.

North County and SLO County though will actually get hotter because of northeast winds.

Most of us will go from the 90s to the 80s by Thursday.

Heat advisories and extreme heat warnings continue through Thursday evening.

Some 70s arrive Friday, with more cooling over the weekend, and temperatures landing near normal by Sunday.

Rain chances are rising however for Sunday into early next week as pieces of Hurricane Rachel may mix will low pressure from the north, up to 30 percent chance of rain locally.
