Tracking a hot & humid Tuesday with overnight rain chances

KEYT

Happy Tuesday! We begin the morning with minimal fog or marine layer and temperatures begin to climb. Many areas will see offshore winds which will bring temperatures up to 80s and 90s while triple digits appear inland. There is a 20% chance of showers today for most as some lingering tropical remnant and instability hold. Many models show all areas are dry but we cannot rule out a pop up shower over mountainous terrain. Humidity values will make feel-like temperatures much hotter.

A Heat Advisory begins Wednesday morning and will last through Thursday evening for most of the area. Expect dangerous heat for inland areas while beaches rise above normal. Check on those at risk and utilize air conditioning when possible. Peak heating for most occurs today and some areas may battle daily records.

Heat holds Thursday before a cooling trend begins Friday into the weekend. Many areas fall back to 70s and 80s and we will be back to normal. Expect some marine clouds in the morning before a quick clearing trend.
