Slight cooling ahead, Mon day Aug 3rd forecast

Staying very warm today for inland areas while the coast saw a strengthening sea breeze and even a persistent marine layer. All advisories and warnings for the region will drop off this evening for our region. Areas to our east and south will still see a few warnings stay in place in to next week. As our onshore flow increases, fog will become more of a coastal weather player and we could even see some patchy dense fog for the early morning hours which means reduced visibilities. Fog may also linger for some beach communities, but clearing is expected by the afternoon for most of the coastline.

Looking ahead, cooler weather will make its triumphant return through the middle of next week with temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday dipping to near normal levels for this time of year. That means things will stay very warm, but below the advisory and warning levels of the past several days. However, it is August and that means more warming is expected for the second half of the work week and in to next weekend. At this time, it doesn't appear that we will see a repeat of the past few days, but expect many inland areas to warm back solidly in to the 90's and even low 100's. This will mean that a few areas may see an advisory or warning posted once again for more heat concerns. Our long range computers are also seeing some hints for a return of Monsoon moisture which would mean more humidity in addition to the extra warmth. We will keep an eye things and pass the word on to you as to what the Monsoon flow might bring as we head through next week.
