Warmer weekend, tracking spring showers

Slow clearing clouds are back in the forecast Friday morning. Highs rise into the low 70s again for Santa Barbara while clear skies and warm weather occurs north. Mostly sunny skies prevail after lunch and winds remain breezy at times. No watches warnings or advisories. Enjoy.

Dense fog will impact your morning as we begin a small weekend warm up. The temperature inversion causes the fog at low levels for a few hours. Offshore flow will push clouds out and the sun heats us up fast. Expect upper 70s and l.ow 80s for all areas Saturday and Sunday.

All eyes are on spring showers next week. Storm clouds roll in Monday and the rain arrives Tuesday. Models indicate light showery activity holding through Thursday. Most areas will see a half an inch or less, slightly larger totals in San Luis Obispo. Winds and marine waters will be monitored too.
