Spring-like weather returns on Tuesday

After a cold and wet weekend, the work week will be off to a nice change. Temperatures will gradually warm with beautiful, blue skies through the week.

Northwesterly winds will be especially gusty in southern Santa Barbara County and the mountains. A wind advisory will run from 4:00 pm Monday until 3:00 am Tuesday for southwestern Santa Barbara County. The northern Ventura County mountains also have an advisory until 3:00 am Tuesday. For these areas, gusts will be up to 50 mph.

A warming trend will take place through the week, with temperatures becoming more seasonal on Tuesday and even above normal by Wednesday. Temperatures will climb to the upper 60s and 70s on Tuesday, and to the 80s in our warmest valleys.

On the coast, low clouds are expected through the week in the overnight hours. There is potential for fog to expand into the valleys, especially by the end of the week. We will still see plenty of sunshine each day once the clouds clear away.
