Slight chance of rain showers Thursday morning, High Surf, Coastal Flood Advisory in effect

There is a slight chance of rain showers throughout the region this morning, it is expected to clear up throughout the day and evening.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect until 10 PM Thursday. 

This is impacting the San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. 

Flooding of sea water is likely over vulnerable low lying coastal areas. 

There is a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 10 PM Friday. 

Expect large waves of 8 to 10 feet, highest on west to northwest facing beaches.

Dangerous rip currents expected for most beach areas. 

Expect dry and cool temperatures Friday. There is no need to have that umbrella out.

There will be some weak Santa Ana winds on Saturday, it is below advisory level.
