Chilly mornings and below normal highs are the theme of the week ahead

High temperatures are changing little Tuesday, even as conditions are drying out. Highs will mostly be in the 50s, well below normal. Low temperatures will be in the 30s with the Santa Ynez Valley, inland Santa Barbara County Central Coast, and Ventura County valleys under a frost advisory until 8:00 am.

A ridge of high pressure is building into the region with the upper low heading out. Any clouds will clear nicely to sunny skies with light winds at times. Wednesday's conditions will be very similar.

Cloud cover will increase Thursday as an upper low is moving in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Temperatures may warm a tad, but are staying well below normal.

A strong ridge of high pressure in the Gulf of Alaska will start to dominate on Friday, lessening any chances of rain in our region over the weekend.
