Gray start to May brings cooler temperatures

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - While temperatures stayed on the warm side on Friday, we are beginning to see a cooling trend heading into the weekend and the month of May. We'll see patchy, dense fog return overnight with lows in the mid to upper-40s.

On Saturday, morning marine layer will transition to mostly cloudy skies with daytime highs dropping double digits up and down the coast, to the 60s near the ocean and 70s and low-80s inland. We are watching gusty North winds potentially returning again Saturday evening along the South Coast .

On Sunday the cool and cloudy trend continues, with temperatures falling again. Sunday looks to be the coolest day of the upcoming week. Early next week temperatures are expected to warm once again.
