Monday morning forecast October 5th

Temperatures are still on the toasty side, sticking in the 70s to 80s on the coast and in the 90s inland. The high pressure system is continuing to weaken and onshore flow is increasing. This will cool temperatures down a few more degrees Monday.

An air quality alert is still in effect through 11:00 am Monday in San Luis Obispo County and through 8:00 am in Ventura County. Expect to see less haze through the day.

Low clouds and dense patchy fog will continue to hug coastal areas overnight and into the morning, potentially creating low visibility on some roadways. Temperatures will continue to cool down Tuesday and Wednesday with the marine layer. Even with the slight cool down, temperatures will remain a few degrees above normal.

Longer term, we are expecting more cloudy skies Friday and into the weekend. With increased moisture, there is a small chance of rain Friday and Saturday in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties. Offshore flow should bring dry weather into Sunday.
