Wednesday evening forecast September 16th

Wildfire smoke is still sitting over the region, but will likely clear out by the end of the week. Air quality in Santa Barbara County remains unhealthy for sensitive groups and in San Luis Obispo County is moderate.

There is an air quality advisory in effect in San Luis Obispo County until Thursday at 11:00 am and in Ventura county until Thursday at 9:00 am.

Temperatures are above average in the 70s to 80s across the coast and valleys. The interior valleys may reach 90 degrees. A cooling trend will start over the weekend and into next week, as a low pressure system works its way North and as the marine layer returns.

Expect some gusty winds Thursday and Friday night in Northern Santa Barbara County.
