Wednesday morning forecast May 27th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Wednesday will be quite similar for most parts of the California Central Coast and South Coast as a ridge of high pressure continues to dominate our weather. A Heat Advisory continues through Thursday for the interior valleys of San Luis Obispo County, but closer to the coasts it will be mild. Highs will range from the coastal 60s to the inland valley 90s and 100s.

The ridge bringing the sunshine and warmth, but also allowing the coastal marine layer will begin getting pushed eastward by a trough of low pressure on Thursday. It will begin cooling Thursday with more clouds, and the cooling will continue Friday with a chance for light rain Saturday. After a mostly cloudy Sunday, we'll have showers and gusty wind early next week.

Daytime highs will begin with large differences, but will all cool to a similar range by early next week. Coastal areas can expect fairly constant highs in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. Coastal valleys will fall from the lower and mid 70s to the lower 70s. Inland valleys will fall the the most, from the lower 100s to the upper 70s. Overnight lows will stay in the mild 50s in most areas.
