Saturday evening forecast Dec 7th

Yet another wet day across the region along with cool temperatures. So far this rain system has been fairly quiet as the bulk of its energy is focused in to Northern California. While we all love the rain, this slow and steady pace is really the best of both worlds. While we get the much needed precipitation, the rates have not created any significant problems!
For Sunday, the center of low pressure responsible for the storm will move south through the state. This means more showers and light rain. However, there is a slight chance for thunder and if that occurs, rainfall could be locally heavy for isolated areas. Temperatures on Sunday will once again be on the cool side with highs mostly in the upper 50's and 60's. High surf from the west/northwest will continue along much of the coastline. A High Surf Advisory will remain in effect through early Sunday for the Central Coast and portions of Ventura County. Rain should turn more showery late as the storm slides east. Winds will also turn from the south to a more west and north direction. Could see some moderate gusts for South Coast tomorrow evening.
Looking ahead, the Pacific will remain very busy with more storm marching toward the West Coast. But, high pressure is expected to build over us and that should keep us dry for much of next week. Look for temperatures to warm a little and at times there could be some breezy or gusty northerly winds. Again, more storms will approach the region, but should only cloud up the skies from time to time!
