Wednesday morning forecast – Jan. 8th

Gusty north winds return to the forecast for Wednesday. With a Wind Advisory in effect for Santa Barbara County until Friday morning. Breezy and gusty north wind will make driving difficult near Gaviota especially for high profile cars. A cooling trend continues with daytime highs along the coast and valleys in the mid to upper 60s.

A system will arrive for Thursday with a slight chance for showers for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County. The system is expected to be weak with little to no rain . As the system exits more sunshine will return for Friday.

The next chance for rain will be Saturday into Sunday and this will mainly be over our mountain areas. Temperatures will cool to the lower 60s along the coasts and valleys for the weekend.
