Monday morning forecast September 21st

A gradual cooling trend will follow into Tuesday. Due to an onshore flow, morning cloud cover will build and clear to afternoon sunshine through Tuesday. As a ridge of high pressure begins to build from the southwest on Wednesday, temperatures will begin to warm.

The weather pattern will remain quiet through Tuesday. Daytime highs will be slightly cooler on Monday with little change into Tuesday. Temperatures along the coast in the 60s to 70s. Interior valleys and mountains will warm in the mid to upper 80s.

A midweek warm up is expected as a ridge of high pressure builds from the southwest. This will allow for a weaker onshore flow, meaning less morning clouds. As offshore trends follow this will shrink the marine layer and highs will warm about 3 to 6 degrees across the region. Although the Central Coast could rise an additional 5 to 10 degrees, thanks to the offshore push.
