Friday morning forecast September 11

A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect along San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Central Coast until Friday 11 AM.

Night to morning cloud cover will likely impact the coastal areas through the middle of next week. As conditions burn off, wildfire smoke across California will likely prompt hazy sunshine. Temperatures will remain near average through Wednesday. Although, temperatures could change day to day as the density of the smoke fluctuates.

A shallow marine layer returned for Friday morning. Allowing dense fog to surround coastal areas from San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Although cloud cover will clear, smoke could be thick enough for temperatures to cool an additional 5 to 10 degrees. Areas without smoke could remain slightly above average for Saturday and Sunday.

Daytime highs along the Central Coast, mid-50s Morro Bay, 60s to 70s. South Coast 70s to low 80s. Interior valleys and mountains in the 80s to low 90s.
