Friday morning forecast August 28

A modest cooling trend begins on Friday and through early next week. As the onshore flow strengthens this will allow for morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine. Temperatures around the region will be seasonal into Monday. With further warming mid week as the ridge of high pressure gains strength from the west.

Daytime highs along the Central Coast will warm in the 60s to 70s. South Coast will be in the 70s to 80s. While the interior valleys and mountains cool down to the upper 80s to low 90s.

As the ridge of high pressure continues to shift eastward this makes room for some cooling. The onshore flow will strengthen and allow for a deeper marine layer Saturday morning and through early next week.

Conditions will warm and become above average from Tuesday until Thursday. The warmest temperatures will be inland with the potential for triple digit heat. This will also allow for some sundowner wind events across Southern Santa Barbara County.
