San Marcos dominates Dos Pueblos in Channel League showdown

San Marcos beats Dos Pueblos 13-7 in battle for first place in the Channel League.

GOLETA, Calif. - Both San Marcos and Dos Pueblos entered Tuesday's battle for first place with a 5-0 Channel League record.

But it was no surprise that the visiting Royals dominated the game at DP as San Marcos has a star-studded roster this season filled with high-level college recruits.

The Royals jumped out to a 6-0 lead and won 13-7 to move to 6-0 in league.

Sophia Panossian led a balanced attack with 3 goals.

The Chargers got a game-high 5 goals from Harvard-bound Emma Gilbert with all five scored on penalty shots.
