San Marcos can’t hold on to lead and lose to Rio Mesa in boys basketball

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Royals raced out to a 14-5 start but Rio Mesa eventually reeled them in and beat San Marcos 47-43.

Both teams are now 3-3 in the Channel League.

The Royals led 20-11 after one quarter but only scored 4 second points in the second quarter but still led 24-18.

Rio Mesa improves to 10-10 overall and San Marcos falls to 5-12.
