San Marcos defeats rival Santa Barbara to stay undefeated in Channel League boys hoops

San Marcos stays undefeated in the Channel League after beating Santa Barbara 68-52.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - With the score tied at 21 San Marcos finished the first half with an 8-0 flurry and never was threatened again as they handedly beat rival Santa Barbara 68-52 at the Thunderhut.

The Royals lead the Channel League at 7-0 after defeating the Dons for a second time this year.

Royals senior point guard Max Sheldon had a game-high 23 points with 17 coming after halftime.

John Connolly scored 12 of his 16 points before the half for San Marcos.
